Harrisburg Senators (Double-A)

The Harrisburg Senators fell behind 8-0 before rallying in the eighth and ninth innings and eventually falling to Richmond 10-5. The Senators had the bases loaded when the game ended on a ground out. Richmond scored five in the third and three more in the fifth to seemingly put the game away.

Richard Guasch went 4.1 innings and allowed eight runs. However, he struck out nine and walked just two. He was by a grand slam and solo home run in the second. Francys Peguero followed and went 2.1 innings allowing just a hit. Brian Gonzalez pitched a scoreless eighth, and Erik Manoa Jr. allowed a couple of runs in the ninth.

Upcoming Game: The Senators and Richmond Flying Squirrels play game three of their six-game series Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at FNB Field. The game can be heard on CBS Sports Radio Harrisburg 96.5FM 95.3FM and 1400AM, beginning at 6:20 p.m.

Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A)

Down to their final out, the Red Wings scored three runs in the ninth inning to beat the Worcester Red Sox, 3-2, Wednesday afternoon and extend their season-long win streak to five games.

The Wings (20-12) had an explosive ninth inning, capitalizing with men in scoring position. After Lucius Fox and Cole Freeman reached base in the top of the ninth inning, Andrew Stevenson smashed a double to drive in Fox and Freeman to tie the game 2-2. Luis Garcia followed with a single to right that scored Stevenson with the winning run.

Wing’s RHP Cade Cavalli had a notable outing vs. the WooSox, holding down the bump with six strikeouts and keeping the Sox scoreless through 5 1/3 innings before giving up an RBI single that gave Worcester the lead 1-0.

A sacrifice fly ball to left field off Cavalli in the sixth inning shifted the score to 2-0 before he was relieved by LHP Francisco Perez.
