The Akron RubberDucks rallied for five runs in the bottom of the eighth to beat the Senators 9-5. Andrew Young hit his first home run for Senators, a two-run shot in the eighth giving Harrisburg a short-lived 5-4 lead. Harrisburg had rallied from a 4-0 deficit on a home run by Wilson Garcia and a two-run triple by Jake Alu.

Alex Troop started and went the first five innings. He allowed four runs on five hits, the big one a three-run home run by Eric Rodriguez. Brian Gonzalez worked two scoreless innings. Reid Schaller come on in the eighth and retired just one batter and allowed five runs to score, two scored after he left the game. Andrew Lee went the final two-thirds and didn’t give up a run.

The triple was Jake Alu’s first of the season. The Senators scored a run in the sixth, two in the seventh, and two more in the eighth to take the lead. Along with his triple, Alu also walked twice.
