According to the Virgina Sports Hall of Fame, Mr. Washington National, Employee #11 Ryan Zimmerman will be inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame as a member of the 2023 class.
After his UVA career, Zimmerman was drafted by the Washington Nationals 4th overall and helped the team capture their first World Series in 2019. In 2022, the Nationals retired Zimmerman’s number 11.
