Today, the Washington Nationals agreed to terms with ten international free agents to kick off the International Signing period. Nationals President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Mike Rizzo and Vice President and Assistant General Manager of International Operations Johnny DiPuglia made the joint announcement. The group is highlighted by Cuban Centerfielder Cristhian Vaquero who was the number one prospect in the 2022 International Class, and per Baseball America, Vaquero is the number two prospect in this years class, per MLBPipeline.com.
The international signings have been pretty good for the Washington Nationals, that is how the Nationals acquired the likes of Juan Soto and Victor Robles.
