The Washington Nationals will continue their three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight, send RHP Brad Lord to the mound, and face LHP Justin Wrobleski from the Los Angeles Dodgers. Brad Lord will become the 28th pitcher drafted or signed and developed by the Washington Nationals to start a game for the Nationals since 2005.

The Nationals kicked off their series against the Dodgers with a 6-4 victory last night. MacKenzie Gore delivered a strong performance, fanning seven over 6.0 innings while allowing just two runs, securing his first win of the season. His 25 strikeouts this year tie him with Seattle’s Logan Gilbert for the most in the Majors. Meanwhile, Kyle Finnegan recorded his fourth save of the season—and third in as many games—pitching 1.2 innings to earn his fourth career save of five or more outs. On the offensive side, James Wood stepped into the leadoff role for the first time, finishing 1-for-3 with a homer and a walk.
