The Red Wings and Bisons were tied one to one at the top of the sixth inning, with Franchy Cordero on third and Trey Lipscomb on second and two outs. When hot-hitting Andrew Knizner hit an infield single, scoring Cordero for Knizer's second RBI of the night, it gave the Wings a 2-1 lead. Rob Hassell III hit a sharp line drive double to left field, scoring both Lipscomb and Knizner. The Wings were ahead 4-1, and Stone Garrett doubled to right, scoring Hassell III, and the Wings' lead grew to 5-1. All four runs were scored with two outs.
An inning later, Brady House joined the party by hitting a drive down the left field line that hit the foul pole for his fourth home run of the season. Andrew Pinckney drove in another run later in the 7th inning with his second hit of the night. The Red Wings took a 7-1 lead in the ninth when House hit a double to left, and Lipscomb drove him home with his third hit of the night to finish the scoring 8-1.
Lipscomb was named "Player of the Game" as he went 3-4 with a walk and an RBI. House and Pinckney both had multi-hit games with two hits each. Chase Solesky pitched his second excellent game in a row. Solesky pitched five innings and gave up one run on two hits while walking three and striking out seven. He notched his first win of the year.
Kyle Luckham is being called up from Harrisburg to make the start tomorrow for Rochester. Game six of the seven-game series will start at 1:05.
