Major League Baseball just released its 2025 top 100 prospect list, and the Washington Nationals have three prospects on this year's list.
Earlier this week, we shared last year's list, and now the 2025 list is up. It shouldn't be surprising to see prospects such as Dylan Crews (ranked #4), Jarlin Susana (ranked #79), and Travis Sykora (ranked #70) in the top 100. [Check out our Top Ten Washington Nationals prospect list]
One notable player that didn't appear on the list was Brady House.
In 20 starts, Sykora had an impressive 2.33 ERA in 85 innings. Even more impressive was his 129 strikeouts compared to only 27 walks this season. Sykora demonstrated a combination of overwhelming stuff and solid command. He looked far more advanced than most high school pitchers in their first professional season. Sykora could have performed in high A, but the Nationals did not want to rush the youngster. While he didn't get an invite to Spring Training, many believe that his big league debut will be sometime in 2026; however, if he has an impressive 2025, a September call-up might be possible. Sykorka might start the 2025 season in Harrisburg and Triple-A Rochester by June.
Susana, 21, has been invited to his first Spring Training in 2025 after leading all of Minor League Baseball (min. 100.0 IP) in strikeouts per 9.0 IP (13.63) in 2024. He ranks fourth in Minor League Baseball (min. 150.0 IP) in home runs per 9.0 innings (0.28) and 13th in strikeouts per 9.0 innings (11.83) over the last two seasons.
